Bed Canopy Valance and Window Treatments designed by Peggy (Meyer) Lessard

Hi there! My name is Peg Lessard, founder of HauteInteriors.com. HI (it’s a long name) was an extremely rewarding full-service interior design company from 2000 – 2008. As much as I loved design, a relocation to California in 2008 paved the way for other interests – writing, social media and grassroots organization. Anticipating my ultimate vision for HI, I kept the domain name. While I continue to design under Peg Lessard, today’s HauteInteriors.com is a space where I can focus on the heart of me – writing and inspiring all things design.

A Little History

My design career began when a penchant for designing custom infant bedding and christening gowns blossomed into an enchanting children’s boutique on Montana Avenue, Santa Monica, CA.  Promoting the Waldorf play concept, “Lavender’s Blue” mimicked a child’s room. The “room” was a lush garden of whimsy filled with made-to-order children’s furniture, linens and fashions; along with the most magical toys and accessories imaginable crafted locally and abroad by cottage industry artisans. Lavender’s Blue was the go-to for the notable celebrity child’s gifts and room design. My line of children’s fashions, linens and interiors were featured in LA Style, the LA Times and Victoria Magazine, among others.

This new chapter for HI will be a journey of inspiration and creation, coupled with lots of encouragement for all those who need a little nudge to get out of the box and trust their hidden talent. Sign up if you want subscriber-only design questions answered and new posts delivered to your mailbox, approximately four a month. Also, be the first to follow me on Facebook, and I will address your design dilemmas. I hope to get to know you!

Are you ready to play? We’re just getting started, so there isn’t a whole lot to choose from. However, I would start with my Blog to get an overview of where we are headed. Let me know what you think and any topics of interest! Thank you! Peg
